Welcome to the official website of the Odisha Human Rights Council (OHRC). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website, services, and membership. - Eligibility: Membership is available to individuals committed to promoting and protecting human rights in Odisha. Membership is open to individuals of all genders, social status, and backgrounds.
- Membership Categories:
- District Board Membership: ₹5,000/- (Donation for Organizational Development)
- Block Board Membership: ₹2,000/- (Donation for Organizational Development)
- Renewal Fee: ₹500/- per year

- District Board – ₹2,500/- (Women Only)
- Block Board – ₹1,000/- (Women Only)
- Free Membership for Handicapped Persons
- Free Membership for BPL Card Holders, Genuine News Reporters, and Advocates
- Non-Refundable Fees: All membership fees and donations are non-refundable once paid. Contributions made by members will be used to support OHRC’s operations, legal aid, advocacy, and other activities related to human rights protection.
- All donations made to OHRC, whether as part of membership or as individual contributions, are non-refundable and directly fund the council’s programs for human rights protection, advocacy, and legal assistance.
- OHRC is a non-profit, non-governmental organization, and all donations are tax-exempt as per Indian law (subject to applicable rules).
- Lawful Use: You agree to use the OHRC website and services only for lawful purposes. You may not engage in any activity that disrupts the normal operation of the website or infringes upon the rights of others.
- Accuracy of Information: You agree to provide accurate, truthful, and complete information during membership registration, donations, and any interactions with OHRC.
- Content Ownership: The content on the OHRC website, including logos, articles, and images, is protected by copyright and may not be reproduced, distributed, or modified without express permission from OHRC.
- OHRC respects your privacy and takes all reasonable measures to protect the data you provide. Personal data provided during membership registration or donations will be handled according to OHRC’s Privacy Policy.
- By using OHRC’s services, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your personal information as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
As a member or participant in OHRC’s activities, you agree to:
- Uphold the principles of justice, dignity, and equality.
- Respect all individuals, regardless of their background, and ensure that your actions align with the mission of OHRC.
- Refrain from engaging in any behavior that could harm the reputation of OHRC or its mission.
- OHRC reserves the right to suspend or terminate the membership of any individual who violates these Terms and Conditions or engages in activities that damage OHRC’s integrity or goals.
- If your membership is terminated, you will not be entitled to a refund of any membership fees or donations. Please note that the donation amount is non-refundable under any condition. These donations are used exclusively for social work and supporting human rights initiatives, such as providing assistance and protection to victims of human rights violations.
- OHRC makes no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the content on its website.
- OHRC is not responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the website or participation in any OHRC activities.
- OHRC reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be reflected on this page, and the effective date of the changes will be clearly stated.
- Continued use of OHRC’s website or services after such modifications implies acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions.
Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms and Conditions will be resolved through amicable negotiation. If unresolved, the dispute will be submitted to the jurisdiction of the courts in Odisha, India.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. The courts in Odisha shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any legal matters related to these terms.
